The band, consisting of Molly Rankin, Kerri MacLellan, Alec O'Hanley, Brian Murphy, and Philip MacIsaac, draws influence from their roots in Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island, blending folk, jangle-pop, and melancholic rock. Their self-titled debut album features nine tracks that balance sunlit optimism with twilit sadness, creating a sound that captures both the beauty and heartbreak of life. Recorded at Chad VanGaalen's Yoko Eno studio and mixed by Graham Walsh and John Agnello, the album sparkles with a shimmering, wistful quality, driven by needlepoint melodies and introspective lyrics.
