The piece is made to the very high standards Tiffany & Co. set for its silver manufacturing in the mid Twentieth Century.  This piece is perfect to place by a door, in a dressing room or bedroom, as well as on a desk.  The lack of ornamentation of the piece makes it easy to sit in a wide variety of spaces and looks.  Fully signed "Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling Silver" along with the product registration mark.  In exceptional condition, made in America, circa 1960's.
